Ingledene Bed and Breakfast is situated in the heart of Trearddur Bay with maginificent views of the bay to the front and towards the Snowdonia mountain range from the rear and is an ideal base for your holiday or short break. Here you'll find all the peace and quiet you need to escape from the usual pressures of life.
Trearddur Bay and the surrounding coves offer clean sandy beaches with safe swimming areas. The area is popular with divers and canoeists, as well as a variety of other water sports enthusiasts and fishermen. Ingledene itself is only yards from the beach and there are numerous places to eat in a range of budgets within easy walking distance.
The town of Holyhead is only two miles away where day trips to Ireland are available. Fishing, riding and golfing facilities are available locally and there is a leisure centre in Holyhead. For spectacular views (and energetic climbs!, with over 400 steps down and then back up!) visit nearby South Stack Lighthouse an excellent place to view over 4,000 nesting birds that line the cliffs during the breeding season. The RSPB South Stack bird reserve is based here at Elin's Tower.
The popular Anglesey Coastal Walking Path can be followed from its start at St Cybi's church in Holyhead, rising up Holyhead Mountain with its abundant wild and unspoilt landscapes and past small beaches like Porth Dafarch, with a detour to visit the lighthouse and an old Iron Age hill-fort. In the other direction the Path continues to Rhoscolyn and Four Mile Bridge past unusual rock formations and a possible stop at Ffynnon Santes Gwenfaen's Well before continuing down the inland sea past RAF Valley, the base for the Air/Sea Rescue service, to Rhosneigr and beyond.
And after a tiring, or relaxing, day the nearest local pub is just 100 yards down the road.
